The Sunday!

Sundays are always considered as 'Fun Days'. Today was one more sunday to be enjoyed.
All my friends had planned to meet today at the nearest common point in the city by 10.30am and go for the famous MTR after that.
As usual, i played the organiser part and tried to get friends together and like everyone had told that they would meet at the common place as discussed but had an additional commitment as ever... I thought that atleast we will be able to meet friends for a few minutes/hours.

There was one who said that he needs to attend an engagement, the other too had a function at his friends place to go, another friend of mine was a bit far from the place and was thinking of meeting us straight at MTR... (Well, he was the one who thought of the meeting at MTR), there was another who had a lunch party with his manager by 12.30pm so he was actually half minded to meet. But everyone had agreed to meet before going for their respective 'commitments'.

All said and done, here comes the sunday and just as i thought.. we ended up with only 4 people of us who were ready to meet atlast but had not woken up from bed till 9 am. I thought a whilst and called others to ask as to whether everyone is ready..... As thought, "Can we meet next week?", "Hey... why to meet when its just 4 of us", "I just woke up now lets see... as i m already late for the other commitment", were the phrases heard over phone call...

I had a question in my mind... why to find out for an excuse when you have no intention to action that?

At the end i had to text message everyone that 'probably the meeting is cancelled as no one is coming other than 3 or 4...

So, at the end of the day, no meet, no friends, no fun.... Just a question, when this is going to be the case of friends before they get married, what is the percentage of the 'Meet' that could be there, after the so called 'Marriage' the 'hurdle'...? Lets hope a better tomorrow...
Wish you a happy working week!!!
